SUBJECT:
Ordinance No. 15-005 Amending Section 2-29 and Section 2-35 relating to procedure for making public comment at meetings and placement on the agenda. FIRST READING
SUMMARY:
As requested by the Commission, this Ordinance sets out two (2) separate times the Commission will entertain public comment. The first occurs for comments relating specifically to agenda items which do not require public hearings. This is the fourth item in the item of business. The other opportunity for public comment occurs as the eighth order of business when the Commission will receive general comments from the public unrelated to any agenda item. There are some other housekeeping items which required amendment upon further review of the current code provisions.
RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt Ordinance No. 15-005.
ALTERNATIVES:
Make modifications to the ordinance as written or do not make changes to public comment.
