Future Land Use Map Amendment - Allegra at Fort Pierce - Parcel ID: 2419-113-0001-000-6
SUMMARY:
In accordance with Sections 125-37, 125-133, and 125-136 of the City Code and Chapter 163.3184, F.S., the applicant is requesting the review and approval of a Future Land Use Map Amendment (FLUMA) from GC, General Commercial to RM, Medium Density Residential. The applicant intends to develop a multi-family development known as Allegra at Fort Pierce.
RECOMMENDATION:
The requested Application for a Future Land Use Map Amendment meets the criteria specified in 126-136 of the City Code, the Comprehensive Plan, and does not adversely affect the public health, safety, convenience, and general welfare. The proposed FLU designation is considered to be suitable, having examined the character of the property, its topography, soils, and natural resources. (F.S. 163.3177 6(a) 8.); Therefore, Staff recommends that the Planning Board forward a recommendation of APPROVAL to the City Commission.
