SUBJECT:
Selection of Mayor Pro Tem pursuant to Section 23 of the City Charter which requires the City Commission to select one (1) of their number as Mayor Pro Tem at the first regular meeting following January 1.
SUMMARY:
The individual elected shall act as mayor-commissioner and have all of the powers and duties of that office during the absence or disability of the said mayor-commissioner.
The following have served as Mayor Pro Tem:
2021 Commissioner C. Johnson, Seat 3
2020 Commissioner Perona, Seat 4
2019 Commissioner Alexander, Seat 5
2018 Commissioner J. Johnson, Seat 2
The following have served as Mayor Pro Tem:
2021 Commissioner C. Johnson, Seat 3
2020 Commissioner Perona, Seat 4
2019 Commissioner Alexander, Seat 5
2018 Commissioner J. Johnson, Seat 2
RECOMMENDATION:
Using the traditional rotation, Commissioner Jeremiah Johnson, Seat 2, would be next in line to serve as Mayor Pro Tem.
