SUBJECT:

Approve recommendation of the Special Magistrate to reduce Code Enforcement lien in the amount of $14,140.00, against 421 N 15th Street, Fort Pierce, FL 34950 - Parcel ID Number 2409-506-0022-000/4, owned by Guesty K & Joseph A Alouption, to $1,400.00, to be paid within 60 days.

SUMMARY:

  • Request by applicant, property owner Joseph A Alouption, to reduce the lien in the amount of $14,140.00 to $0.00.
  • Property is currently rented and owner intends to continue use as a rental.
  • Owner states he does not have the funds to pay the full amount.
  • Request was heard by the Special Magistrate Pelletier on 3/2/2022. She denied the owner's request to waive all fines but approved reducing the lien to $1,400.00 payable in 60 days.

RECOMMENDATION:

The Special Magistrate, having heard the request of the owner and testimony of Staff, recommends reducing the lien in the amount of $14,140.00 to $1,400.00 payable in 60 days.
