Resolution 22-R21 directing an election to be held to provide for the placement of a proposition calling for Economic Development Ad Valorem Tax Exemptions for the City of Fort Pierce, Florida on August 23, 2022 Primary Election Ballot.

This proposed Resolution allows the City Commission to proceed with the process for obtaining consent of the electors for renewed authority to authorize Economic Development Ad Valorem Tax Exemptions in accordance with Florida Statute 196.1995(7). As stated in the Resolution, the City is further authorizing the Supervisor of Elections to place the question on the August 23 ballot. St. Lucie County will be placing a similar question on the ballot seeking elector support to renew the County's power to grant such exemptions.
