SUBJECT:
Approval to enter into an Early Lease Renewal with the Yamaha Motor Corporation for 65 New Golf Carts for a 48 month Term beginning on December 1, 2022 in an amount not to exceed $54,600 annually, with 5 carts from our current lease being owned by the City at no additional charge.
SUMMARY:
Our current 48 month Lease is ending on November 30, 2022 and with the current pricing increases and supply shortages it would more cost effective to solidify a new lease before we incur any costly repairs once we are outside the warranty period.
The current 48 Month Lease which began on December 1, 2018 had also been for 65 gas powered carts at a cost of $60 per cart, per month for a Monthly Total of $3,900 and an Annual Total of $46,800.

RECOMMENDATION:
Staff's Recommendation is to Approve the Early Lease Renewal with Yamaha Motor Corporation.
ALTERNATIVES:
There are currently TWO additional companies that offer gas powered fleet vehicles.
Club Car's 65 Cart Lease Proposal is attached and comes in at $81.67 per cart, per month for a Monthly Total of $5,308.55 and an Annual Total of $63,702.60.
EZ-GO's 65 Cart Lease Proposal is also attached and comes in at $91.75 per cart, per month for a Monthly Total of $5,963.75 and an Annual Total of $71,565.00
Club Car's 65 Cart Lease Proposal is attached and comes in at $81.67 per cart, per month for a Monthly Total of $5,308.55 and an Annual Total of $63,702.60.

The terms of the New Lease would be for 65 New carts at a cost of $70 per cart, per cart per month and an Annual Total of $54,600.
Included in that term will be 5 carts from our current Lease which we will own at No Charge.
Those 5 carts will be used for Staff such as Starters, Rangers, etc. as to not add additional wear and tear on the new fleet.
