SUBJECT:
Approval to allocate $100,000 of American Rescue Plan Act Funds for Utility Bill Assistance Program.
SUMMARY:
Staff presented a proposed strategy to assist residents experiencing difficulty in meeting their utility bill obligation to the City Commission on August 8, 2022. $100,000 of American Rescue Plan Act funds has since been identified to fund this initiative intended to give our citizens some relief.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this request.
ALTERNATIVES:
Staff will proceed as directed by the City Commission.
