SUBJECT:

Approve the emergency purchase of the Theatrical Dimming System for the Sunrise Theatre, from Rebekah's Dream, West Palm Beach, FL, in the amount of $66,111.00.

SUMMARY:

The Sunrise Theatre's theatrical dimming system needs to be replaced. The current dimming system was installed when the theatre was renovated in 2006. Several features in the old system are not working at full capacity, routinely shutoff and are inefficient with newer systems. Quotes were obtained from three vendors due to upcoming shows scheduled for the first week of October and currently the theartre does not have lighting. Rebekah's Dreams in West Palm Beach, FL is the lowest bidder for a new vari-lite dimming system.

RECOMMENDATION:

Three (3) proposals were received, City Electric Supply $150,986.22, Graybar $162,500 and Rebekah's Dreams $66,111 for the dimming vari-lite equipment. Staff request approval to award Rebekah's Dreams, West Palm Beach, FL in the amount of $66,111 to Rebekah's Dreams as the lowest bidder for the project.
