SUBJECT:
Approve funding in the amount of $200,000.00 for Building Department Contracted Professional Inspection Services provided by CAP Government, Inc. for Fiscal Year 2023 pursuant to RFP No. 2019-11.
SUMMARY:
The Building Department is requesting funding in the amount of $200,000.00 for contracted inspection services provided by CAP Government, Inc. for fiscal year 2023. Specifications in accordance with RFP No. 2019-011 Professional Inspection Services. Approved by the City Commission on July 1, 2019, this is the final year of the two-year contract which had two (2) one-year extensions and expires on July 5, 2023. Additional inspection services are required due to the shortage of licensed inspectors, to maintain the best level of customer service to our citizens, and to keep up with the demand for inspections due to increased City growth and projects.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of request for Funding for Building Department Contracted Professional Inspection Services for Fiscal Year 2023
