SUBJECT:
Legislative Hearing - Ordinance No. 22-031 - Annexing three (3) parcels at or near the northeast corner of South Kings Highway and White Road. SECOND READING
SUMMARY:
- The applicant is requesting a voluntary annexation of three (3) parcels at or near the northeast corner of South Kings Highway and White Road in Fort Pierce, Florida. The parcel ID(s) are 2313-332-0000-000-7, 2313-332-0000-010-0, 2313-333-0001-000-7.
- The subject property has a St. Lucie County Future Land Use designation of Commercial (COM) and a St. Lucie County Zoning designation of Agricultural-1 unit (AG-1). To ensure consistency with Policy 1.11.5 of the City’s Comprehensive Plan, the proposed Future Land Use designation is General Commercial (GC) with a Zoning classification of Commercial Parkway (CP-1).
RECOMMENDATION:
As proposed, the annexation meets the standards of the City’s Comprehensive Plan, specifically Policy Section 1.11 regarding annexations. Planning Staff recommends approval of the proposed annexation along with the Future Land Use designation of GC and the Zoning designation of CP-1.
