Approval to award RFP 2023-038 for annual contracted Professional Inspection Services to JPI of Melbourne, Florida in an amount up to $200,000.00 annually.

In order to maintain excellent customer service in light of the shortage of licensed inspectors, the Building Department had offered RFP 2023-038, which was sent to 94 vendors.  Seven (7) vendors requested specifications with four (4) responding (57.14%) 0 "No Bid" (57.14% total response.)  The selection meeting date was July 26, 2023.  The selection committee evaluated each bid and considered the following:  Experience and ability of the firm; Facilities, equipment, capabilities; Quality of product compared to others in the marketplace; Past performance of the primary firm; Willingness to meet time and budget; Price; and Location.  JPI of Melbourne, Florida achieved a total of 255 out of 300 points, GFA International dba UES had 232 points; CAP Government of West Palm Beach totaled 228; and Willdan Engineering of Orlando had 195 points.

Staff recommends approval to award RFP 2023-038 for annual contracted Professional Inspection Services to JPI of Melbourne, Florida in an amount up to $200,000.00 annually.

Do not approve at this time.
