SUBJECT:
Authorize the FPRA Director to accept the Change Order No. 1 to General Contractor Services-Highway Museum in an amount not to exceed $46,326.77 for the City of Fort Pierce Florida Highwaymen Museum renovation project.
SUMMARY:
The proposed change order is necessary to address the safety and security of the occupants and visitors of the City of Fort Pierce Florida Highwaymen Museum. The upgrades include the demolition and reconstruction of the stairs on the east side of the building, changing the orientation of the stairs from south to north to north to south, and relocating the entry door and drain to prevent water from entering the building. .
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of Changer Order No. 1 to General Contractor Services-Highway Museum in an amount not to exceed $46,326.77 to demolish and rebuild the stairs on the east elevation of the building.
ALTERNATIVES:
Staff will proceed as directed by the FPRA Board.
