SUBJECT:
Legislative Hearing - Ordinance 24-001, Amending Chapter 103, Division I, Section 103-24, Subsection (a), providing Local Administrative Amendments to the 8th Ed. Florida Building Code with regard to Scope and Administration. FIRST READING
SUMMARY:
Staff proposes the attached Ordinance to update local amendments in accordance with the Florida Building Code 8th Edition (2023) as recommended by the Building Officials' Association of Florida (BOAF) Model Chapter 1, with local additions and deletions as recommended by the City's building official.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of proposed Ordinance 24-001, Amending Chapter 103, Division I, Section 103-24, Subsection (a), providing Local Administrative Amendments to the 8th Ed. Florida Building Code with regard to Scope and Administration.
ALTERNATIVES:
Do not approve at this time.
