SUBJECT:

Approval of Service Agreement Contract for RFP No. 2023-038, Annual Contract Professional Inspection Services in an annual amount not to exceed $200,000.00.

SUMMARY:

During September 5, 2023, City Commission meeting, the Commission awarded RFP No. 2023-038 to JPI, Melbourne, FL, for Annual Inspection Services.   The scope of work involves inspecting buildings, equipment and installations during various phases of construction, and grant inspection approvals to ensure compliance with Florida Building Codes and related regulations, laws and rules. If the building codes and regulations are met, approvals will be granted. However, if any non-compliance is found, written comments will be provided with the applicable code sections. 

The contract will be valid for one year and can be renewed for two one-year options. 
 

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.

Staff will proceed as directed by the Commission.
