SUBJECT:
Approval of the Award Agreement from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement JAG22—Countywide Grant in the amount of $31,524.00.
SUMMARY:
The Department has tentatively been awarded funding entitled Florida Department of Law Enforcement JAG22-Countywide C-R7187: Crime Scene/Forensics Technology and Equipment. The approved award amount is $31,524.00. Accepting the award requires the approval of the "Award Agreement" and the mayor's signature.
This non-matching grant will fund Law Enforcement technology expenses, specifically equipment needed for the Department's Crime Scene Unit. This technology will improve the Crime Scene Unit's efficiency and accuracy while processing evidence from crime scenes.
The City Attorney's Office has approved the document regarding form and correctness.
