SUBJECT:
Approval to award Bid No. 2024-004, General Contractor Services - Floodproofing a Non-residential Structure, to Remnant Construction, LLC., Fort Pierce, FL, in the amount of $266,048.00.
SUMMARY:
The Building Department requests approval to accept the sole bid received from Remnant Construction in the amount of $266,048.00, to provide flood-proofing measures to conserve and protect the historically significant structure located at 601 N. Causeway Drive, Little Jim Bait & Tackle. The bid was advertised on February 2nd and 9th with a scheduled bid opening at 3:00PM on February 29, 2024. The invitation was sent to 769 vendors. Seven (7) vendors requested specifications with one (1) responding.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff is recommending approval of Bid No. 2024-004, General Contractor Services - Floodproofing A Non-Residential Structure, to sole bidder, Remnant Construction, LLC, Fort Pierce, FL, in the amount of $266,048.00.
ALTERNATIVES:
Do not approve at this time.
