Approval of Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. Specific Authorization No.7 for the design services of Surfside Park Residential Street Drainage Improvements - Phase IV in an amount not to exceed $239,732.00.

The residential lots within the Surfside Park neighborhood were originally designed to direct all stormwater runoff to the adjacent roadways, many of which are void of sufficient drainage facilities. As a result, the roadways are subjected to flooding and untimely deterioration.  This project will aid in the conveyance of stormwater runoff in an effort to reduce the neighborhood flooding.  This is the fourth and final phase of the Surfside Park neighborhood stormwater improvements, with Phase I construction completed in 2020, Phase II scheduled to commence construction in October 2024, and Phase III slated for construction shortly after Phase II construction. 

Phase IV design, bid and specification package is estimated to be completed 12-months from issuance of the Notice To Proceed.

Staff recommends approval.

Deny and negotiate with another design consultant.
