SUBJECT:
Approval of the hiring Agreement to engage the services of Theodore "Ted" Small, Esquire, to conduct an independent investigation of City Manager Nicholas Mimms.
SUMMARY:
The City Commission, pursuant to Resolution No. 24-R47, directed an independent investigation into the alleged actions of City Manager Nicholas Mimms based on his arrest for criminal charges on August 14, 2024. Theodore "Ted" Small, Esquire, has agreed to conduct the investigation directed by the City Commission. Mr. Small has confirmed he has no prior history with the City of Fort Pierce or any of its elected officials, pursuant to the City Commission's direction.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Agreement.
ALTERNATIVES:
Staff will proceed as directed.
