Award RFP 2024-019 for On-Demand Transportation Services and authorize staff to enter negotiations with the highest ranked respondent, BEEFREE, LLC.

SUMMARY:

The Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency (FPRA) issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for On-Demand Transportation Services to enhance ride-share services and transport users within the FPRA Boundaries. RFP 2024-019 was issued on January 17, 2024 and four (4) proposals were received by the deadline of February 7, 2024. Staff is seeking authorization to negotiate a contract with the highest ranked respondent, BEEFREE, LLC. of Miami, Florida for short-distance on-demand electric vehicle services within the FPRA limits, and this will be free to the users.

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval of the award for RFP 2024-019 to the highest ranked respondent, BEEFREE, LLC., and authorization for staff to enter negotiations for a period of 90 days.

ALTERNATIVES:

Staff will proceed as directed by the FPRA Board.

This project was identified in the FPRA Project Based Budget presented on July 11, 2023.
GOAL 15 .The Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency shall connect the Redevelopment Area’s cultural and artistic Hubs (Downtown, Marina, Fisherman’s’ Wharf, Beachside District, Lincoln Park and Peacock Arts Districts) to the Waterfront’s artistic and cultural amenities.
