Approval of the Grant Agreement for Commercial Facade improvement for 207 Orange Avenue - Jetset Events LLC in an amount not to exceed $25,000.00.

As part of its mission to alleviate slum and blight and, in order to encourage redevelopment of the FPRA district by enhancing its visual aesthetics, the FPRA, established the Commercial Façade Grant Program.  The Commercial Façade Grant Program offers financial assistance in the form of a reimbursable, matching (50%) grant up to $25,000 to the property or business owner for eligible expenses associated with improving the external appearance of their business and to encourage businesses to invest in their operations. 
The applicant, Jetset Events, LLC is seeking funding to substantially improve the facade by installing new windows on the front facade, replacing the front doors with ADA complaint entrances, outdoor window boxes, exterior flooring for the entrance, security cameras, and upper window hurricane shutters. 
Their total investment for the eligible facade improvements is over $72,000. 

Staff evaluated the proposal and brought it to the CRA Advisory Committee for their review and recommendation to award. 


Staff is seeking approval of the Grant Agreement for Commercial Facade improvement for 207 Orange Avenue.
 

Staff recommends approval. 

Staff will proceed as directed by FPRA Board.
