SUBJECT:
Approval of Change Order No. 7 to General Contractor Services-Highway Museum in an amount not to exceed $6,338.80 for the City of Fort Pierce Florida Highwaymen Museum renovation project.
SUMMARY:
During the demolition of the existing floor, it was discovered that the previous installer had significantly built up the floor to align with the door threshold. This was an unforeseen condition. The change order necessitates grinding down the remaining thin-set to the concrete slab. After that the floor will be leveled and prepared for the new flooring installation.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of Changer Order No. 7 to General Contractor Services-Highway Museum in an amount not to exceed $6,338.80 to level the floor and prepare it for the installation of the laminate flooring.
ALTERNATIVES:
Staff will proceed as directed by the FPRA Board.
