SUBJECT:
Approval of FPUA Resolution No. UA 2016-02, which provides for a 3% increase in the water customer and volume charges, which was approved by the FPUA Board on February 2, 2016.
SUMMARY:
Fort Pierce Utilities Authority requests approval of Resolution No. UA 2016-02, which provides for a 3% increase in the water customer and volume charges. The estimated fiscal impact on the City's budget is as follows:
FY 2016 - $14,000
FY 2017 - $42,000
FY 2018 - $55,000
FY 2016 - $14,000
FY 2017 - $42,000
FY 2018 - $55,000
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve FPUA Resolutions No. UA 2016-02 by a four-fifths (4/5) majority vote.
ALTERNATIVES:
Disapprove FPUA Resolution No. UA 2016-02 by a four-fifths (4/5) majority vote. If a four-fifths (4/5) majority vote of the city commission does not disapprove the proposed rate changes within thirty (30) days of the date of submission of said change or changes in the formula to the city commission, the rates or the formulas by which the rates are determined shall be deemed approved and shall become effective.
