SUBJECT:
Resolution 16-R15 approving the Submittal of a Grant Application to the Florida Inland Navigation District to Improve Boat Access at Fisherman's Wharf and Moore's Creek Boat Ramps
SUMMARY:
A Resolution of approval, adopted by the Fort Pierce City Commission, is required for a successful grant application to the Florida Inland Navigation District (FIND). This resolution contains specific text required by the FIND. The grant application is to replace finger piers at Fisherman's Wharf & Moore's Creek boat ramps & construct dock staging area for trailerable vessels & dock staging & launching areas for kayaks, canoes & paddle boards, railing and lighting at the Moore's Creek boat ramp.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the Resolution approving the FIND grant application submittal to improve boat access at Fisherman's Wharf and Moore's Creek boat ramps.
ALTERNATIVES:
Do not approve the resolution.
