SUBJECT:
Request to reduce code enforcement liens in the amount of $9,340.00 against 2804 S 10th Street, Ft. Pierce, FL, Parcel ID # 2421-506-0099-000-2 which is owned by Adrian Morales of the same address, to $900.00, payable in 12 monthly payments of $75.00.
SUMMARY:
- The fines accumulated due to a shed that was built without a permit.
- The fines are against the homeowner and person deemed responsible for the violation.
- Mr. Morales and his representative Mr. Roderick Waller have requested a full waiver of all costs.
RECOMMENDATION:
The Special Magistrate recommends denying the owners request for full rescindment and recommends reducing the fines from $9,340.00 to $900.00 payable in 12 monthly payments of $75.00. This was based on:
- Failure by both the owner and his representative to appear for two scheduled Massey hearings.
- This reduced amount is sufficient to cover the administration costs of the City.
