SUBJECT:
Approve grant award for A.J. (Angela) Brown, owner of Florida Highwaymen Artist A.J. Brown 2nd Gen and Legacy, LLC in the amount of $3,000 as an eligible recipient under the 2015-16 CDBG Grant Award for Small Business.
SUMMARY:
2015-16 CDBG Action Plan allocates funding for small businesses that attend at least two (2) educational workshops to purchase items to improve capacity & sustainability. Ms. Brown attended workshops 11/3 and 5/18/16 and has applied for a grant funding to purchase business equipment.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve this grant award for up to $3,000 for Ms. Brown to purchase equipment/services that will increase the capacity and sustainability of her business.
ALTERNATIVES:
Do not approve this grant award.
