SUBJECT:
Request approval of Captec Engineering's Specific Authorization No. 1 (RFQ No. 2014-012) in the amount of $75,000.
SUMMARY:
A portion of the constructed stormwater improvements at the Veterans Memorial Park were funded by FDEP grants. These grants include an EPA federal funded 319 Grant and state funded TMDL Grant. As with all grants, specific tasks are to be performed in order to receive any allocated funding. Within these particular grants there are tasks associated with post construction activities that include stormwater discharge monitoring, preparation of a Quality Assurance Project Plan and submittal of a Final Report. Captec Engineering has the required monitoring equipment to conduct the required stormwater monitoring and the expertise in preparing the QAPP and Final Report.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of Captec's Specific Authorization No. 1 in the amount of $75,000.

FISCAL IMPACT:
The $75,000 will be encumbered from SMU Account No. 403-4300-538-3490 and a subsequent grant reimbursement in the amount of $25,000 will occur upon delivery of the final report to FDEP.
