SUBJECT:
Ordinance No. 16-017 amending Chapter 2 Sections 2-254, 2-259 and 2-260(b) of the Code of Ordinances to establish new procedures for processing citations and amending the Classes of Violations. FIRST READING
SUMMARY:
The proposed amendment will establish new procedures for processing citations. Specifically, any citation that does not require a mandatory court appearance will be payable directly to the City of Fort Pierce and if a hearing is requested, will be heard by our Special Magistrate.
The amendment also incorporates the changes adopted to Chapter 10 in reference to parking enforcement by amending the classes of violation.

Approve the amended ordinance as presented.
