Approve award of RFP 2024-048 - Nuisance Abatement Services to multiple vendors and authorize staff to initiate contract negotiations.

The City solicited proposals from companies to provide nuisance abatement services, abating nuisance conditions as ordered by the Special Magistrate. The Request for Proposals for Nuisance Abatement Services was issued on August 28, 2024 and specified that the City reserved the right to award multiple contracts. Three (3) proposals were received by the deadline of September 30, 2024, and a selection committee reviewed the submittals and determined that all three proposals were fully responsive to the RFP and were qualified to perform the scope of work.

Based upon the review results and considering the wide array of duties that fall under the nuisance abatement program, the evaluation committee recommends awarding the contract to all three companies:

• D & R Landscape Inc.
• Gone Fishing Landscaping & More, LLC
• Mow 4 Less, LLC

Staff's review procedures within the Code Enforcement Department exceeded beyond the expiration date noted in the bid tabulation memo and the delay in presenting to Commission for final approval was not as a result of any issues with the submitted proposers or proposals.

Staff recommends that the City Commission approve awarding RFP No. 2024-048 - Nuisance Abatement Services to the three responsive and qualified companies listed below:

• D & R Landscape Inc.
• Gone Fishing Landscaping & More, LLC
• Mow 4 Less, LLC

Staff will act as instructed by the Commission.
