SUBJECT:

Approval of Change Order 1 for Specific Authorization 7 to EDC, Inc. in the amount of $4,800.00 to complete the design services for Avenue D from US 1 to Indian River Drive to reflect citizen input and design changes. 

SUMMARY:

RFQ 2019-027 Specific Authorization No. 7 was issued in 2021 to EDC for professional design services for Avenue D from US 1 to Indian River Drive. The design needs to be revised due to citizen comments and to accommodate the new design for the Indian River Drive project. The city coordinated with EDC for a Change Order to complete the design. This Change Order will also be presented to the FPRA Board at their April 8, 2025 meeting.

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approving Change Order 1 to Specific Authorization 7 for the completion of the design of Avenue D from US 1 to Indian River Drive.

ALTERNATIVES:

Staff can coordinate with another continuing service consultant to complete the design, or advertise for final design services. Either option would result in significant delays.
