SUBJECT:

Review and approve CRA Advisory Committee Recommendations for Commercial Facade Grant Application for 706 S. US Hwy 1 in the amount of $25,000 — Blue Sky Property Holdings, LLC

SUMMARY:

The CRA Advisory Committee has completed its evaluation of the most recent round of Commercial Façade Grant Program applications. This program is designed to eliminate blight and enhance the visual appearance of properties within the FPRA district, encouraging private investment, economic development, and job creation. It offers 50% matching grants, up to $25,000, for eligible exterior improvements.

All applications were evaluated based on the intent of the Commercial Façade Program, which is to support projects that provide substantial, visible improvements from the public right-of-way going beyond routine maintenance to meaningfully reduce blight within the FPRA district.

Project Description:
The proposed improvements for 706 S US Highway 1 owned by Blue Sky Property Holdings, LLC. include siding, framing, roof replacement, windows, stucco repairs, exterior paint, signs, metal awning, permanent landscaping and irrigation.

The application was evaluated by six committee members, with a maximum possible score of 600 points. The project received a perfect score of 600 out 600 points.

This represents the initial step in the grant award process. If the Board approves the Committee’s recommendation, staff will prepare a grant agreement for 706 S US Highway 1 to be brought back for final approval at a future FPRA Board meeting.
