Approval of an expenditure for a Purchase Order to cover the Fort Pierce Off-Duty Detail expenditures for details located at Jetty Park, Downtown, and North 25th Street in the amount not to exceed $381,940 for FY2026.

The Fort Pierce Police Department's off-duty details located at Jetty Park, Downtown, and North 25th Street enhance safety and security, boost public perception, and promote community engagement in key areas of the redevelopment area. These details enable officers to build rapport with local residents and visitors and quickly respond to emergencies or suspicious behavior. By creating a welcoming atmosphere, the FPRA's commitment to safety can stimulate economic growth and contribute to a more vibrant community.

14. The Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency shall support the law enforcement and social service providers that are located within the Redevelopment Area and that serve the residents of the Community Redevelopment Area.

14.2. The Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency will continue to support Community-Oriented Police programs and operations within the Community Redevelopment Area.

23. The Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency shall improve public safety and perception of safety within the Redevelopment Area.

23.1. The Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency, contingent upon available funding, shall include a line item for public safety improvements in the CRA Work Plan and Budget.

Submit three weekly requests for approval for payment.
