SUBJECT:
Resolution 25-R52 approving the Grant Agreement 25SRP28 between the City of Fort Pierce and Florida Department of Environmental Protection for the Wastewater Resilience and Adaptation - Phase II project in the amount of $28,061,358.00 for the grant term of July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2027.
SUMMARY:
This grant was applied for by the Fort Pierce Utilities Authority (FPUA) under the City of Fort Pierce, for the City of Fort Pierce Wastewater Resilience and Adaptation – Phase II project. The resolution must be approved by the City Commission prior to the assignment of the agreement by the City of Fort Pierce to Fort Pierce Utilities Authority (FPUA)
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of resolution by the City of Fort Pierce for the assignment of the Wastewater Resilience and Adaptation - Phase II project to Fort Pierce Utilities Authority (FPUA).
ALTERNATIVES:
Staff shall proceed as directed by commission.

The Grants Division will collaborate with FPUA regarding the administration of this grant and its associated responsibilities. Given that the City is the official grant recipient and remains accountable for compliance, the Grants Division will coordinate with FPUA to monitor progress and ensure all grant obligations are met.
