Approval of the 2025 Annual Resurfacing Program in the amount of $551,519.64 in accordance with the Paving Lady contract awarded in response to Bid No. 2023-044.

As part of the Infrastructure Surtax commitment, the City selects streets each year that require resurfacing. This selection is coordinated with the Fort Pierce Utilities Authority to ensure that any planned utility work is completed prior to resurfacing and that there will be no anticipated utility conflicts in these areas. Due to scheduled FPRA work on Rhode Island Avenue, the resurfacing program cannot commence until at least August 1, 2025.

During the City Commission meeting on September 5, 2023, Bid No. 2023-044 for the Annual Resurfacing Contract was awarded to The Paving Lady, Boynton Beach, FL. The contract was approved for a period of three years, with two options for one-year renewals, during the regularly scheduled City Commission meeting on February 20, 2024.

The following streets have been selected for the 2025 Resurfacing Program. These roadways represent approximately 1.54 miles of roadway. 












We have received a quote from the Paving Lady in the amount of $551,519.64 to complete this work. This is less than the budgeted amount of $950,000. 

Staff recommends approval of the FY2025 list of roadways for resurfacing. 

Revise or reject at the direction of the Commission.
