SUBJECT:

Approval to execute the Indian River Drive Corridor Improvements construction contract, Bid No. 2025-019 with Ferreira Construction Company, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $10,254,124.04, as awarded by the City Commission on July 21, 2025.

SUMMARY:

During the July 21, 2025, City Commission meeting, the Commission approved the award of the Indian River Drive Corridor Improvements to the low bidder, Ferreira Construction Company, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $10,254,124.04. The roadway improvements extend along Indian River Drive between Avenue A and Seaway Drive and include the complete reconstruction of both the roadway and the bridge as previously presented.  

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.

ALTERNATIVES:

Deny and risk forfeiting the $2.7 million awarded under the Florida Job Growth Grant No. G0100.
