SUBJECT:
Legislative Hearing - Ordinance 25-029 Deleting Chapter 103, Article VII Coastal Construction Code. FIRST READING
SUMMARY:
The coastal construction code is obsolete. Some provisions conflict with the FBC Coastal Construction requirements. Other provisions would be considered a technical amendment and are no longer valid as technical amendments must be presented to the Florida Building Commission each time a new Florida Building Code Edition is released (every three years).
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of proposed Ordinance 25-029 Deleting Chapter 103, Article VII "COASTAL CONSTRUCTION CODE".
