SUBJECT:
Approve grant award for Ms. Doretha Hair Truesdale, owner of Doretha Hair Highwaymen, LLC in the amount of $2,945 as an eligible recipient under the 2016-2017 CDBG Action Plan - Grant Award for Small Business.
SUMMARY:
2016-2017 CDBG allocated funding for small business grants for owners who attend two small business workshops to purchase items to improve capacity and sustainability. Ms. Hair Truesdale attended workshops 8/18/16 and 11/16/16 and applied for a grant for equipment for her business.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve grant award for $2,945 for Ms. Doretha Hair Truesdale to purchase equipment for her business, Doretha Hair Highwaymen, LLC to increase capacity and sustainability.
ALTERNATIVES:
Do not approve the grant award.
