SUBJECT:
Request for approval to submit grant application and receive grant award from Visit Florida to 1st Annual Minority Business Expo in Fort Pierce.
SUMMARY:
Application to Visit Florida to attract minority business startups and relocations to Florida at 1st Annual Treasure Coast Minority Business Expo - Aug 11-12 at the Fenn Center. This is a $20,000 grant request. CDBG's Economic Development activity will provide $6,000 toward this event.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve submittal of grant application and subsequent receipt of grant award from Visit Florida to provide 1st Annual Treasure Coast Minority Business Expo.
ALTERNATIVES:
Do not approve submittal of grant application or receipt of grant award from Visit Florida.
