Sale of FPRA Properties

SUBJECT:

Public Hearing and approval of the sale of the following Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency properties for less than fair value as required by Florida Statutes 163.380(2):   1401 N Second Street and 301 Florida Avenue.

SUMMARY:

The City Commission of the City of Fort Pierce, Florida, is required under Florida Statutes 163.380(2) to approve any property disposition for less than fair value by the Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency.  The following properties are anticipated to be approved for disposition by the Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency as viable community redevelopment projects as follows:
FPRA Resolution 17-01 conveying by fee simple deed, 1401 N Second Street to Lotus Asset Management, LLC in the amount of $1,000,000.00.
FPRA Resolution 17-02 conveying by fee simple deed, 301 Florida Avenue to Costa Seafood and Grill, LLC in the amount of $30,000.00.
FPRA Resolution 17-03 conveying by fee simple deed, 414 Avenue D to M.K.C. Investment Group Corp. in the amount of $46,000.00.  
 

RECOMMENDATION:

Approve the sale of the two properties as viable community redevelopment projects.

ALTERNATIVES:

Do not approve any or choose which sales to approve.

OTHER INFORMATION:

These properties will go back on the tax rolls and when redeveloped, will create jobs, community investment and additional value to the community.
