SUBJECT:
Approve grant award for Ms. Sonja Johnson, owner of Massage Harmony by Sonja in the amount of $3,000 as an eligible recipient under the 2016-2017 CDBG Grant Award for Small Business. (Postponed from 2/6/2017 meeting)
SUMMARY:
2016-17 CDBG allocates funds for small businesses that attend two educational workshops for items to improve their capacity and sustainability. Ms. Johnson attended workshops 5/18 & 8/1816 and has applied for a grant to help cover the costs for a vehicle needed for her mobile business.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve grant award for Ms. Sonja Johnson to help cover the costs of a vehicle, needed for her business.
ALTERNATIVES:
Do not approve this grant award.
