Approval for payment of maintenance for the Public Safety Multi-Agency CAD System

SUBJECT:

Approval for payment to the SLC Board of County Commissioners for the annual maintenance of the Public Safety Multi-Agency CAD System in an amount not to exceed $50,032.00.

SUMMARY:

Commission approved an Interlocal Agreement between SLC Board of County Commissioners on September 16, 2013, reference Bid No. 2013-001, Single Source purchase.   This supporting maintenance provides for a countywide CAD system that provides hardware and software to support a regional dispatch and law enforcement records management system.  St. Lucie County has entered into an agreement with SunGard Public Sector, Inc. to provide this hardware and software. 

The Purchasing Department has reviewed this request and found that all information and justification to be correct.  It is on the basis that competitive procurement be waived and that the above item be treated as a "single source" commodity.

RECOMMENDATION:

The police department recommends approval of the computer software maintenance.

ALTERNATIVES:

At the will of the Commission.
