SUBJECT:
Approve grant award for Ms. Sonja Johnson for her business, Massage Harmony by Sonja, LLC in the amount of $3,000 as an eligible recipient under the 2016-17 CDBG Action Plan-Grant Award for Small Business
SUMMARY:
2016-17 CDBG provides grants for small business owners who attend 2 workshops to purchase items to improve capacity & sustainability. Ms. Johnson attended workshops 11/16/16 & 2/15/17 & applied for grant to purchase equipment. Ms. Johnson also attended received grant in PY2015.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve grant award for $3,000 for Ms. Sonja Johnson to purchase equipment for her business, Massage Harmony by Sonja, to increase the capacity and sustainability of her business.
ALTERNATIVES:
Do not approve grant award.
