SUBJECT:

Approve purchase of traffic system test equipment from Econolite in the amount of $17,915.00. Econolite is the City's sole source supplier for traffic equipment.

SUMMARY:

The test equipment will be utilized to meet ongoing FDOT requirements for system operation, maintenance and reimbursement. The equipment will also help with more efficient traffic signal trouble shooting.  

RECOMMENDATION:

Approval

ALTERNATIVES:

Seek third party contract to preform the mandatory testing of intersection conflict monitors.
