Clean Community Initiative - Resolution

SUBJECT:

Resolution No. 17-R31 establishing a fee for the Clean and Safe Community Program as provided in Sec. 5-369 of the City Code of Ordinances

SUMMARY:

  1. Ordinance No. 17-028 as adopted by the City Commission provides for the Clean Community Fee to be established by resolution.
  2. The Clean Community Fee shall be set at $1.00 per month.
  3. Such fee shall be applied to each utility customer within the city limits and listed as a separate fee on the monthly utility bill.
  4. All fees collected through the Clean Community Program are to be placed in a restricted fund and may only be used to for the Clean Community Program.
  5. An audit of income and expenses will be conducted annually and a report presented to the City Commission.

RECOMMENDATION:

Approve the Resolution as presented.
