SUBJECT:
Approval of a one (1) year extension of a Site Plan for Wawa Fueling Station located at 5575 Okeechobee Road, until September 6th, 2018.
SUMMARY:
- The applicant is requesting approval of a 1 year extension for the approved Site Plan for Wawa's Fueling Station located at 5575 Okeechobee Road. The request is due to the delays in obtaining permits from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD). The applicant is finalizing said permits, and has filed a minor amendment to the site plan to accommodate the FDOT and SFWMD adjustments.
- The extension would expire on September 6th, 2018 if approved. The Site Plan and Design Review were approved on September 6th, 2016 (attached).
- The project will consist of a 6,119 sf fueling station with a detached canopy for fuel pumps and an outdoor dining area.
- The property owner has completed demolition of the previous structures to prepare the site for construction.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of a 1 year extension, until September 6th, 2018 for the Wawa Site Plan & Design Review located at 5575 Okeechobee Road.
