SUBJECT:
Resolution 17-R38 adopting the Rules of Procedure for Condemnation and Demolition.
SUMMARY:
- Prior to commencing condemnations and demolitions under the Clean & Safe Initiative, Rules of Procedure for Condemnations and Demolitions should be approved and adopted.
- The proposed rules address properties to be condemned but that may be rehabilitated and procedures for when no action is taken by the owner, properties that are declared unsafe and must be demolished and properties that are declared a nuisance and must be demolished.
- The proposed rules adhere to the requirements outlined in the City Charter.
RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt the Rules of Procedure for Condemnation and Demolition
