Approval of Brothers Construction proposal for the Design Build of City Marina Dinghy Docks. Brothers Construction,  has supplied the City with a proposal to construct the Dinghy Docks under Bid No. 2018-014, Marine Contracting Services, Piggyback Martin Co. Bid No. 2017-2935, in an amount not to exceed $351,425.00.

Due to the unsuccessful bid process, Bid No. 2018-005 - Design Build of City Marina Dinghy Docks, in which the sole proposal was $203,000 over the project budget and 35 days over expected project completion time.  On February 5, 2018, Commission awarded Brothers Construction, Inc., Bid No. 2018-014, Marine Contracting Services, Piggyback Martin Co. Bid No. 2017-2935, therefore staff asked if they would provide a proposal for the dinghy docks.The Brothers Construction proposal is $351,425.00 which is under the City's budget also within the City's completion time frame. The proposal is inclusive of all costs except building permits.

Recommend utilizing Brothers Construction to complete the project.

Advertise the project again which will place the City in jeopardy of loosing project funding.
