SUBJECT:
Request from Denise Sirmons, Treasure Hunter, Kids at Hope Coordinator for a contribution of $10,000 to help fund the cost for 30 youths and 10 adults to attend the National Conference on Preventing Crime in the Black Community, May 30 to June 1 in Jacksonville, Florida.
SUMMARY:
A proposal from Ms. Sirmons is attached to this agenda item. The proposed budget is $34,709, of which the City is asked to fund the cost of the following items: Shirts for youths and chaperones, meal stipend, hotel rooms, post activities/misc.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff will proceed as directed by the City Commission.
