SUBJECT:

Approve waiver of fees in the amount of $430.25 associated with lot clearing lien against 1807 Orange Avenue, Ft. Pierce, FL - Parcel ID Number 2409-701-0021000-6 previously owned by Leo Cueto (TR), 3167 Bessey Creek Trail, Palm City, FL 34990 and currently owned by JoHo Properties LLC c/o Hoyt C Murphy, 2400 S Ocean Drive #4200, Ft. Pierce, FL 34949, contingent upon payment of $91.80 payable in 30 days.

SUMMARY:

The request is made by Mr. Murphy, managing member for the partnership of JoHo Properties LLC who owns two adjoining lots. They have now purchased the 1807 Orange Avenue lot and paid 7 years back taxes and had the illegally parked vehicles removed. It is their intent to combine the lots to create a parcel large enough to attract a commercial user which would benefit the Orange Avenue corridor.

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends waiving the interest, penalties, and administrative fees in the amount of $430.25 contingent upon paying the balance of $91.80 in 30 days.

ALTERNATIVES:

Deny the applicants request for reduction.
Determine an alternative amount.
