Approve request to reduce the Building Department lien in the amount of $4,360.00  against 602 N 22nd Street, Fort Pierce, FL 34950 - Parcel ID Number: 2404-709-0042-000/8, owned by CJBR N 22nd St LLC, 4977 N State Road 7, Lauderhill, FL 33319 to $925.00 payable in 30 days.

SUMMARY:

The request for reduction is made by CJBR N 22nd St LLC, owner of the property.  The owner hired a contractor to complete the work required to address the violations.  The owner was led to believe that everything was done and inspected.  He realized that this was not the case when her received the Affidavit of Non-Compliance.  Fines accrued and a lien was recorded while the owner addressed all the violations.  At the Massey Hearing before the Special Magistrate, the applicant agreed to a reduction in the amount of $925.00 payable in 30 days, as recommended by the Special Magistrate.

RECOMMENDATION:

The Special Magistrate, having heard the request of the owner and testimony from staff, recommends reducing the lien to $925.00 payable in 30 days.  If not paid within 30 days, the lien will revert to the original amount of $4,360.00.
