SUBJECT:
Approve License Agreement No. DACW17-3-21-0001 between Department of the Army and the City of Fort Pierce granting the city the ability to install, use, repair and maintain a concrete walkway/maintenance tract, lights, benches and trash receptacles on the South Jetty for a period of 5 years with an opportunity to renew.
SUMMARY:
The Public Works Department placed a concrete walkway/maintenance tract, low level solar lighting, benches and trash receptacles on the South Jetty as part of the Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE) South Jetty repair project the City assisted with after the 2005 hurricane season. In December, 2015, the City and the ACOE entered into a five - year license agreement for the continued use and maintenance of these facilities. It is the City's desire to continue such use and maintenance.
